Mumbai, India – July 6, 2024 – Mr. Jagjivan Vishram Jethva, a dedicated social activist from Mumbai, Maharashtra, has been awarded the Certificate of Honour by the Global Book of Excellence, England. The award recognizes his exceptional dedication and impactful contributions to the community, particularly through his initiative of stitching and donating baby blankets, known as Godhris.

Since 2016, Mr. Jethva has stitched over 6,100 Godhris, crafted from multiple layers of soft cloth, and donated them to the Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Hospital in Borivali, Mumbai. These blankets have provided warmth and comfort to newborns in the maternity ward, offering vital support to families in need.

The award ceremony was graced by Mr. Manish Kumar, President of the Global Book of Excellence, along with other prominent guests. Mr. Amitkumar Desak, Head of the Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Hospital, was also present to honor Mr. Jethva’s contributions.
