Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Nidhi Uttam completed her schooling at St. Mary’s Convent High School and shares a special bond with her identical twin, Nishi. Pursuing her passion for the arts, she moved to Mumbai to study Graphic Design and Animation. Nidhi is married to her childhood friend, singer, and lyricist Mohit Pathak.
Nidhi’s television career began in 2006 with an uncredited role in Zee TV’s “Maayka.” She then made her official debut in Ekta Kapoor’s “Kasautii Zindagii Kay” in 2008, playing the character Tara. Her breakthrough came with “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” in 2009, where she portrayed Nandini Singhania until 2016. She also starred in Life OK’s “Ek Boond Ishq” and made appearances in popular series like “Dil Boley Oberoi” and “Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.”
In 2020, Nidhi transitioned to film with Anubhav Sinha’s critically acclaimed social drama “Thappad,” starring Taapsee Pannu. Her latest film, “Chaar Lugaai,” released in May 2023, showcases her versatility as an actress.
